Africa Women Youth Handball Championship: Nigeria U18 Women’s Team Confident of Doing Well

Nigeria’s under 18 women handball team players are confident that they will make the country proud at the 19th Africa Women Youth Handball Championship which will hold in Monastir, Tunisia.

This was after they played their final tune up friendly match against ASPAC HBC of Benin Republic which they won 27-21 on Tuesday evening at the Rowe Park Sports Center in Yaba, Lagos.

After the match, the players led by Captain Esther Matthew, promised to make Nigeria proud at the nation’s cup.

Coach Shittu Adewunmi Agboola who was with his assistant, Coach Opuene Roberts, echoed the same sentiment that they will do everything to ensure the team do well at the championship.

The team will jet out of Nigeria from the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos for Monastir on Wednesday morning.

They will play their first match against Algeria on Saturday at 2pm.
