The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has released the fixtures for the first phase of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025, which is scheduled to commence on July 7 to the 20th 2025 in Benin City, Edo State.
According to the fixtures released by the tournament director of the Ardova Handball Premier League, Mr. Shina Sanya, the defending champions in both the male and female categories, Tojemarine Handball Club and Safety Babes respectively, will headline opening day action as they begin the defense of their titles.
In the female category, Safety Babes will begin the defense of their campaign against Ekiti Queens which they hope will set the pace for their plan to win their fifth unprecedented consecutive titles. It is expected to be a thrilling clash between the champions and Ekiti Queens who got promoted after finishing second in the National Division One League.
Other day 1 fixtures in the female category will see former champion Plateau Peacocks take on Rivers Queens while the champion of the National Division One League Soof Omo Ogiefo will begin their sojourn into the Ardova Handball Premier League with their first match against Defender Babes.
Then Rima Queens of Sokoto will play against Delta Queens.
Tojemarine Handball Club, who are the defending champion in the Male Category, will take on newly promoted Osun United, to signal an intent of retaining their title while Rima Strikers of Sokoto will face returning COAS Shooters.
Two times champion Niger United will play Adamawa United while former champion Safety Shooters will take on Seasider Boys of Lagos.
Correction Boys of the Nigeria Prisons will play De Defenders of the Nigeria Civil Defense.
Matches will commence next Tuesday, July 8 and all matches will streamed live on HFN TV on Facebook and the YouTube channel of the Handball Federation of Nigeria.
