Celebrating United Nations Int’l Peace Day

Today, Wednesday 21st September, 2022 is celebrated globally as the International Peace Day. The theme for 2022 celebration is:

WE ALL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY IN FOSTERING PEACE.

What are you doing or you intend to do as a PEACE ADVOCATE wherever you may belong? In the Football environment, are you a Peace Advocate or vice versa?

Are you LOOKING and WORKING towards a PEACEFUL Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) elections?
Are you advocating for a PEACEFUL and PRODUCTIVE Football Federation?

Are you mindful of arising the POTENTIALS OF FOOTBALL in Peace Advocacy?

Let us therefore ARISE and work towards what I call,

THE NIGERIA PEACE PROJECT THROUGH SPORTS

Football is the anchor and this is a necessary Social Responsibility to our Country.

How can we realize this if the Nigeria Football Federation is not stable to carry out this important function?

This mission is realizable if those saddled with Leadership responsibilities at all levels of Football Administration particularly at the highest level determine to be selfless and give us the best possible leadership.

Members should look for a PEACE ADVOCACY PROJECT to accomplish today.

I also hope that contestants for membership of the NFF Board will make Peace Advocacy statement today.

Have a wonderful celebration!

Godwin Bamigboye
Peace Advocate Through Sports (Football).
