The angry fans of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon who watched the Super Eagles’ win over their country at the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, said the President of Cameroonian Football Federation, Samuel Eto’O Fils is the problem of their country’s football.

One of the fans who simply gave his name as Laurent said the former Cameroonian International’s managerial skill is affecting the team negatively hence the poor results the team is churning out.

He said, “Eto’O is the problem of the team. He is trying to help his friend, Rigobert Song. He was the one that brought in Song. The team is filled up with average players who are not good enough. You guys deserve the victory because you played well.”

Another Cameroonian female citizen, Patricia, who was very furious with the performance of the team against the Super Eagles said bringing Rigobert Song as the coach of the team was the beginning of the team’s problem.

According to her, “We understand they are trying to help him because of his health but not at the expense of the team and to worsen the problem, Eto’O is always interfering and influencing the decisions of the team.

“Some players don’t want to play for Cameroon because of Eto’O. He has an ego problem and that is why Onana left the national team at the last World Cup in Qatar. It was disrespectful to bring Onana for this AFCON and keep him on the bench.

“Yes, Song did well as a player, won trophies for the country, but what has he achieved as a coach? He has never succeeded with the national team since he started with U23 team. Song is not a good coach and Cameroon don’t have good players,” he concluded.

It would be recalled that the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Cameroonian neighbours by 2-0 at the Stade Felix Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on Saturday.
