The Nigeria National League, NNL on Tuesday inducted 12 new clubsides at the White Hart Hotel and Apartment, Wuye, Abuja.
According to the organizers, the orientation was necessary to put them through what to expect in their new environment.
Recalled that some of the clubsides are coming from the elite league, Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL and the lower league, Nationwide League One, NLO to play in the NNL for the first time.
The newy inducted clubs from the NPFL are: Heartland, Kano Pillars, Katsina United and Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM.
Others from the NLO are: Aspire FC, FC One Rocket, Hype Buzz FC, FC Ebedei, Madiba FC; Mailantarki Care FC, Police Barretta FC and Smart FC .
Recall also that eight of the clubs were promoted from the NLO, while the remaining four teams were relegated from the Premier league, NPFL.
Those present at the Induction Ceremony are: NNL Head of Operations, Mr.Emmanuel Adesanyà, Anambra State Football Association Chairman, Mr. Chikelue Iloenyosi, Club representatives, amongst others.
Speaking after the event, National Institute for Sports, NIS,, Coerver, FCAAN and UEFA C license coach, Mr. Omatiga Gabriel said his team is rearing to go for the new season.
It may interest you to note that the man who is also the general secretary of the FCT Football Coaches Association helped gain promotion for the Nigeria police team, BARETTA FC GOMBE to NNL. This is the first time that a Police team got promoted to play in the Nigeria National League.
