Delta Commissioner for Information, Chief Ehiedu Aniagwu said there is no way you can please everybody especially in an event like the National Sports Festival which is being hosted by the Delta State Government.

He stated this during a press briefing on the latest happenings at the Late Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba today.

Chief Ehiedu also disclosed that some of the athletes complaining are big boys and girls who are loving large in their various places of abode before coming to the festival.

His words, “Some of them are big boys and girls. No matter how you beautify the hostel, some of them will still not appreciate it.

“For instance, Serena Williams coming to the festival, of course she will complain if you keep her in the hostel provided. That does not mean the accommodation provided is not befitting enough. They prefer to pay for their comfort. We have tried by providing for them,” the Commissioner noted.

He however said the reason why they don’t keep athletes in hotels where they can be comfortable is because hotel will not contain all the athletes and moreover, there is need for them to be stay together because of security, cooperation, etc.
