The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council has joined its parent to give a two-day warning strike notice.
The Union in a press release read, “I wish to inform you about the communique of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) which was released at the end of its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on Thursday, the 31st day of August, 2023.
“Among other resolutions, NLC NEC resolved to commence a 2-day nationwide warning strike on Tuesday & Wednesday the 5th & 6th of September, 2023 to demonstrate readiness for the indefinite strike later in the month.
“Based on the above, I am directed to inform chapel leaders to mobilize members for the Two- Days-Warning Strike in accordance with the NLC NEC resolution as directed and communicated in the communique.” The release was signed by the Secretary of Council, Ochiaka Ugwu.
