NYG: Delta State constitutes LOC for Youth Games

The Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori has constituted an 8 man Local Organizing Committee ahead of the 9th edition of the National Youth Games to be hosted by the state.

The 8 man committee has the Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori as Chairman, a former Commissioner of Sports in the state, Chief Solomon Ogba is the Adviser, with former Super Eagles defender and board member of the incumbent board of the State Sports Commission, Mr. Sam Sodje is a member.
Others are Mr. Oghale Ofremu and Miss Henrietta Ehiabor who are board members of the current State Sports Commission board.

The immediate past Director General of the State Sports Commission, Mr. Festus Ohwojero as well as Mr Paul Omamomo-Ojo were also appointed as members while the Acting Director General of the Sports Commission Emuobo Igalase will serve as Secretary.

The Local Organizing Committee has been charged with the responsibility of organizing and hosting a successful 9th National Youth Games even as the State Sports Commission reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a world class event to show case Delta’s capacity as the leading state in spots development in Nigeria.

The 9th edition of the National Youth Games is expected to commence on August 26, with the arrival of various state contingent to Asaba.
