Former Commissioner for Sports, Ogun State, Otunba Bukola Olapade has also joined the leagues of people who are commending the Delta State Government for a job well done thus far.

The man who is mistaken to be controversial because of his stand on issues made the commendation in Asaba, Delta State at the ongoing National Sports Festival, NSF.

Mr. Olopade also said there is nothing that engage people and bring them together like sports.

He however congratulated Delta State for not only hosting a fantastic festival and putting up state-of-the-art facilities but for also dominating the event.

“I have not seen the number of media in a place like in Delta. It shows how interesting the state is. Meanwhile, I was stopped from marketing and making money for the state. For instance, we are supposed to be making millions from outside there but the traders are not being charged because the state government wants to use the event to empower people, ordinarily it would have been an opportunity to make millions of naira.

“I have been to many states but Delta stands out. This is a state that will continue to dominate sports because it is in their blood. What Delta has put in place is the best,” he concluded.

Recalled that as at press time, Delta was already coasting home with 88 gold, 37 silver and 28 bronze totally 153 medals with less than three days to the end of the Festival.
