Players hunt for honour at 4th Janet Adowei Memorial Scrabble Classics

Top players are expected to join the hunt for points, honour and prizes at the fourth Janet Adowei Memorial Scrabble Classics scheduled for Lagos from 25 to 26 of this month.

Preparations have begun for the two-day event which has now evolved into a national championship.

Categories to be competed for 18 rounds of games are: the Opens, the Intermediate and the Masters.

Ebikeme Adowei who instituted the tournament in 2020 in honour of his mother said it’s his own way of sustaining interest, discovering talents and creating competition for scrabble in the country.

It would be recalled that George Ezinore won the last edition held last year in Lagos.
