Rivers Hoopers to play Nigeria Customs in semis

Rivers Hoopers will play against Nigeria Customs in the semi final of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Final 8 after they finished second in the Atlantic Conference.

The KingsMen dropped their first game at the ongoing tournament as they lost 66-78 to Benue Braves in the last group game of the campaign.

Michael Oriakhi led the stat sheet with an impressive 17 points, shooting 4/9 from the free throw line. Bright Akhuete added 12 points, 5 rebounds while Victor Anthony Koko grabbed a team high 14 rebounds.

The loss meant that Hoopers finished second behind Kwara Falcons who also lost their last group game but amassed a better goal difference.

In the Savannah Conference, Nigeria Customs beat Kwara Falcons 80-72 to top the group while Benue Braves finished second.

While Rivers Hoopers play Customs in the second semis at 4pm, Benue Braves will face off with Kwara Falcons at 2pm on Friday.
