Senator Osita Ngwu Lauds Federal Support at Launch of Fashion/Garment Hub and 5th National MSME Clinic in Enugu*
In a significant event aimed at promoting small businesses and entrepreneurship, Senator Osita Ngwu (PDP, Enugu West) delivered a keynote address at the launch of the Fashion/Garment Hub and the opening of the 5th National MSME Clinic in Enugu State. The high-profile event saw the attendance of Vice President Dr. Kashim Shettima, head of the economic team under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
In his address, Senator Ngwu commended the federal government for its unwavering support to Enugu State and highlighted several key initiatives that have positively impacted the region. “We acknowledge the vital role the federal government is playing, particularly in Enugu State. The student loan scheme, the CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) initiative, and now this MSME Clinic are all pivotal in fostering economic growth and empowering our people,” he stated.
The senator emphasized the significance of the MSME Clinics, an initiative designed to provide small business owners with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive. He praised the federal government for choosing Enugu as the venue for this important event, underscoring how the new Fashion/Garment Hub would create opportunities for local artisans, designers, and entrepreneurs.
“The launch of this Fashion and Garment Hub marks a new chapter for Enugu. It is an opportunity for our local talents to showcase their creativity on a national stage, and more importantly, it is a means of driving economic growth and creating jobs for our youth,” Senator Ngwu remarked.
Senator Ngwu also extended his appreciation to the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, for his outstanding leadership and developmental strides in the state. He noted that the governor’s vision and commitment to infrastructure development and economic transformation have made Enugu a model for other states.

Before concluding his remarks, Senator Ngwu made an impassioned plea to Vice President Shettima and the federal government to sustain their support for Enugu and the entire country. “As we move forward, I appeal to the federal government to continue its support for our state and our nation.
