The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN FCT Chapter has commended the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF for appointing Mr. Emmanuel Attah as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National League, NNL.
SWAN also congratulates the former Super Eagles Team Coordinator, Mr. Attah on his new appointment.
In a press release signed by the secretary of SWAN, Chris Onokpegu, the chairman of the Association, Mr. Bunmi Haruna said the appointment of Mr. Attah is well-deserved because of his past performances and achievements.
His words, “We are happy for Mr. Emmanuel Attah. He is an achiever hence he deserves the new appointment. As former Chairman of the FCT Football Association, he did a good job. As the Team Coordinator of the Super Eagles, he was outstanding.
“And as a director in NYSC, he was loved by all including the Directors General of NYSC that he worked with, and he retired honourably in service,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Mr. Attah is a
Fellow Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (FIBAKM)
and a Member of the Nigeria Army Resource Centre (NARC).
Until his appointment as CEO of NNL, Mr. Attah was the Chief Executive Officer, Kendajuta Enterprises, Abuja. Before then, he retired as the Director, General Services Department, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), supervising and coordinating Utility Services, Transport Administration, Stores Management, Maintenance Services, Office Allocation and Security Services.
While in NYSC, between 2015 & 2022, he was the Chairman NYSC Football Club, supervising and coordinating the NYSC National Football Team.
He was also Team Coordinator of the Nigeria Senior National Football Team (SUPER EAGLES) between 2007 – 2015 and won the AFCON in 2013.
Attah was Chairman, FCT Football Association between 2005 – 2011. He was also Chairman, Volunteers Sub Committee FIFA Under 17 World CUP in 2009. In 2002, he was Welfare Officer in the U20 Team (FLYING EAGLES), amongst other appointments.
The Association commend the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to a competent person like Attah. SWAN also wish Mr. Attah well in his new appointment and urged him to work with the Association to take NNL to greater heights.
