A member of the Flying Eagles Players that made the last 25-man team, Kingsley James said it was a great achievement for him to have made the team that went to Morocco.

He made this disclosure on Thursday at the Abuja International Airport on arrival from Casablanca, Morocco where the Flying Eagles of Nigeria are based for the U20 African Cup of Nations.

Kingsley however disclosed that the four of them were dropped from the team not because they were not good enough but because they couldn’t match the physicality of African football.

The Coventry International Academy of England player said the coaching crew assured them that if they continue with their good forms, they will be recalled to the team for the world cup proper because they need their intelligence and experiences.

His words, ” I just back from U20 tour in Morocco. It was good. We train twice everyday. The players and coaches are working hard but unfortunately, we were dropped not because we were bad players but because of the toughness of the tournament.

“The Coach said he will like to make use of more of the Nigerian league players because they are physical and they understand more of African football than us that came from Europe.

“Playing was a great achievement for me. Out of about 1000 players, making the 25-man team was a great achievement for me. I will be taking it back to England. The Coach said if I keep the form, he will definitely call me back for the world cup. It is a world tournament and he needs the European intelligence and experience,” he concluded.
