The football club which started as a mistake according to the chairman of Green Lock Football Club, Dr. Oladeinde Peters, has began operation like a house on fire.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peters said the clubside will be a side to emulate in a short time because they are not only going to play football but also combine it with education.

This revelation was made known by the chairman during a press briefing and unveiling of both the club and its jerseys at the Haris Hotel, Wuye, Abuja.

Dr. Peters said they are aspiring to be the best in the nearest future and boasted that money which has been the bane of clubs in the past in the country will not be theirs.

The son who is also the vice chairman of the club reiterated that money will not their challenge because they are ready to sink enough funds into the project which started in the United States of America, USA.

Also speaking, the Chief Operating Officer, COO of the Nigeria League One, Mr. Sola Ogunowo said the body is excited by the incoming of Green Lock FC and are very optimistic that the club will change the face of football both on and off the pitch.

Recalled that before the unveiling, Green Lock FC has already commenced operations in Nigeria with their operation in Abuja while the training camp is situated in Bwari, a satellite town in Abuja.

The club which has already been registered to participate in the NLO league, has an operational office, a feat which is yet to be achieved even by club sides in the premier league. It also has a coaster bus, hostel and club house, just to mention a few.
