We want to score at least a goal and defend till the end – Peseiro

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Jose Peseiro said they are planning to defeat the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon by scoring at least a goal and defend it.

He made this assertion during a press conference before the epic match between Nigeria and Cameroon on Saturday at the Felix Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.

His words, “I want to score at least one goal and defeat Cameroon.”

When asked why he has not featured Leicester City of England striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, the Portuguese said he doesn’t have any issue with the player but if Nigerians want Iheanacho, he will feature him.

He said, “If I have issue with Kelechi, I would have told him to stay back. If you believe so much in him, he is going to play and score.”

The Super Eagles coach further said the match is going to be a big match. “It is going to be a difficult match, you must be focused. You must give massive sacrifice for the match. Our objective is to win the match. We know the Cameroonians have quality players and coach, we know the team and players.”

He however concluded by saying he knows a little about the Cameroonian team but won’t share. “I know them but won’t share. Just like Simon said, we want to stay in Cote d’Ivoire for many more days. We want to win the match.”
