Former Defence Director of Information, Major General John Eneche said he is supporting the candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi because of the encounter he had with him and what he has done in the past.
He made this disclosure in a television interview conducted by Channels Television on Tuesday night.
General Eneche who described Peter Obi as a man of integrity said he first met the former Governor of Anambra State when he was a commander in charge of an army unit in the state.
According to him, he said when Mr. Obi took over as Governor of Anambra State, he sets up Operation Mesa, a military outfit to tackle the insecurity in the state.
He further said, after Mr. Obi sets up the outfit, he gave them everything they needed without any middle man to either frustrate them before they can get things done or get anything they need to work with which amazed him.
Eneche also gave another scenario when a jail break happened and because Governor Obi was not happy with what happened due to their inability to response, he gave them all what they needed within few days including 10 hilux vehicles couple with other encounters he had with Mr. Obi in the past hence the reason why he is also supporting him as the right person to lead the country.
Recalled that the crime rate in Anambra state then was so high that a sitting governor, Dr. Chris Ngige was taken hostage to an unknown destination. The Police were overwhelmed hence hoodlums were taken laws into their hands until Peter Obi took over.
